San Diego, California: Falun Dafa Practitioners Hold a Series of Information Exhibitions

(Minghui.org) To commemorate the 25th anniversary of the April 25 peaceful appeal, Falun Dafa practitioners from San Diego, California displayed Chinese and English truth-clarifying banners along a street outside a Chinese supermarket. The practitioners go there regularly to clarify the truth, and did so again on April 24, 2024. The practitioners raised awareness of the peaceful appeal that happened in China.

On the same day, Falun Dafa practitioners also held an Information Day event at the Falun Dafa Club in the University of California, San Diego. They told teachers and students about Falun Dafa and the ongoing persecution by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) which has been ongoing for the past two decades.

Art of Zhen Shan Ren Exhibition

The practitioners also held the Art of Zhen Shan Ren (Truthfulness, Compassion, Forbearance) exhibition at Balboa Park on April 27, 2024. This park is a famous local tourist attraction where practitioners continue to clarify the truth to local residents.

Falun Dafa practitioners did a group exercise exhibit to show visitors the five sets of harmonious exercises.

The Art of Zhen Shan Ren (Truthfulness, Compassion, Forbearance) exhibition at Balboa Park attracted many tourist who stopped at the exhibit to learn about the exhibition.

The arts exhibition attracted a large number of people, and many stopped and viewed everything. The people admired the artworks. A young mother, who was pushing a pram, had tears in her eyes when she looked at some of the artworks. The artworks depict the persecution of Falun Dafa practitioners by the CCP regime.

One young man told a practitioner that he wanted to buy some of the artworks to hang in his office.

A young couple who passed by the art exhibition with their child, said they were captivated by the artworks. The husband told a practitioner that he also wanted to buy a Falun Dafa yellow T-shirt because he wanted to support Falun Dafa.

When seeing the piece titled “Shocked,” a lady said to a practitioner, “This is the power of truth. It shocked all people who saw them displayed in the park. Those people with a dark heart are afraid of the light of truth.”

She continued to say that the practitioners in the drawing were “showing peace.” It makes people feel very good and very touched. She wanted to take a photo of it to share with her friends.

A Falun Dafa practitioner from San Diego, Mark Matthews, said that when the CCP initiated the persecution of Falun Dafa in 1999, he saw in media reports that there was a group of people who are persisting in what they were doing, and they held no fear of the CCP. This made him truly want to understand what kind of individuals these people are. Through the process of learning about them, he ultimately started to cultivate in Falun Dafa.

Matthews said, “Later, I learned that they were not protesting, but appealing to the government to stop the persecution. They believed in the goodness of the government and wanted to be granted a good cultivation environment.”

"The CCP’s persecution of Falun Dafa helped to promote Falun Dafa instead, because all people have a nature to advocate kindness and reject evil. After understanding the truth, people will know how to choose between good and evil.”
